welcome to portland

Many, many months ago I commented on someone's YouTube video. The video's creator found me on Last.fm. We discussed my eventual move to Portland. My first weekend in here I met up with this contact, Erica at the B-Side. She introduced me to Natalie, who was friends with Josh. We all walked down the street to RonToms. There, I met Mike, the ship builder, and Erin, the fatalist. Two months later I would see Erin riding a beat up old motorized bicycle. That first night, Natalie and I exchanged numbers and Josh found me online. Natalie introduced me to Will and Mollie a few nights later. I forgot my wallet, which means no ID, which means no fun in Portland. Will gave me a speedy ride home. We hung out at the Triple Nickel on Belmont but Avery, Mollie's twin sister couldn't make it. Kyle did make it though. A few nights later Lavender Diamond played a free show at a record store across the river and I met Josh and Erica there. Josh introduced me to his roommate David, who would later introduce me to his girlfriend Natasha. After, Erica, Josh and I went to a sushi resturant. Erica masterminded the buses home from the west side. Natalie decided to have a picnic. But that wasn't set up for another week. In the meantime I met her and Ramon at Horse Brass, and started meeting movie people one night at a time. The picnic rolled around and a good time was had by all at Laurelhurst, the greatest park ever. Thats the first two weeks. More when I can remember it.
